One of the worst things to deal with is feeling like you have to constantly hide a prominent feature on or around your face. This can become tiresome primarily because the features on our head and face are highly visible. This certainly applies to the ears. An otoplasty, or ear surgery, focuses on making cosmetic corrections to the outer structure of the ear. In the case of protruding ears, the goal would be to create a more pronounced fold behind the ear by adjusting the cartilage.
