This 48 year old woman had always wanted a “nose job” (rhinoplasty), but couldn’t find the right time to do it. In addition to a large nose with a big bump (dorsal hump), she had significant issues with her breathing – owing to an untreated broken nose and deviated septum many years prior. After consultation with Dr. Ransom, she decided to have a septoplasty and open rhinoplasty (combined cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty). Before her procedures, the patient wanted to be sure that her nose wouldn’t be too small or lose its character. As can be seen in the photos, her nose is smaller and less droopy, and the bump is gone – but overall, it retains the essential character. In addition, her breathing was dramatically improved. She was ecstatic with the result.
