Rhinoplasty is one of the top five most common plastic surgery procedures performed each year. If you’re looking to try other methods to slim your nose, try using makeup to see if that will solve your nose dissatisfaction. Makeup artists are known for being able trick the eye, and contour makeup to slim noses. Here are some simple steps for you to try at home.
Supplies are important. You will need to purchase a contour powder or cream, a matte highlighter, an angled brush, foundation, and a fluffy blending brush or sponge.
STEP 1: Apply foundation to the entire nose. Do not apply it too thick or it will look unnatural. Make sure the foundation matches the color of your skin.
STEP 2: Dip your angled brush into your contour powder or cream, and draw a line down each side of your nose.
STEP 3: Clean off your brush, or grab a new one.
STEP 4: Dip your brush into your highlighter powder or cream, and draw a subtle stripe down the center of your nose.
STEP 5: Take a clean fluffy brush or makeup sponge, and blend your lines. Blend until you can no longer see a line. You should see subtle shadows.
The end result should look natural. If you need to continue blending, do so until you are satisfied with the results. Contouring your nose to make it appear smaller with makeup is difficult. Take your time. Practice often. Ask for help from a friend.
